The RL-2 is a relay lockout
device designed for use with a presence
sensor (DH97) on automatic swing or fold
doors. Since the door is normally detected
when closing, the RL-2 locks out the presence
sensor during the closing cycle. To provide
safety during this lock out time, a safety
beam (GD11S) is required at the end of
the safety zone for one way traffic. Interrupting
the safety beam will reset the RL-2 bringing
the overhead safety sensor back into the
safety circuit thus inhibiting the door
from reopening. Consult ANSI A156.10.
